Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony (MOU) between the Department of Medical Technology, School of Allied Health Sciences, Walailak University (MT-SAH-WU) and the Department of Medical Biotechnology and Laboratory Science, College of Medicine, Chang Gung University (MBLS-CM-CGU)
Academic collaboration established between the Department of Medical Technology, School of Allied Health Sciences, Walailak University (MT-SAH-WU) and the Department of Medical Biotechnology and Laboratory Science, College of Medicine, Chang Gung University (MBLS-CM-CGU). The Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony (MOU) between MT-SAH-WU and MBLS-CM-CGU was held on June 8, 2023 at Chang Gung University, Taoyuan city, Taiwan.
Department of Medical Technology, School of Allied Health Sciences, Walailak University (MT-SAH-WU) led by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Jitbanjong Tangpong, Dean of School of Allied Health Sciences and the Department of Medical Biotechnology and Laboratory Science, College of Medicine, Chang Gung University (MBLS-CM-CGU) led by Prof. Dr. Chia-Rui Shen, Chair, Department of Medical Biotechnology and Laboratory Science, Chang Gung University, both universities agreed to have an academic collaboration which include staff and student mobility for research, professional training, teaching and learning purposes including attending the international conference, symposium, or seminar organized by WU or CGU.
Assoc.Prof. Dr. Jitbanjong Tangpong, Dean School of Allied Health Sciences, said, “One of the university’s commitments is to conduct studies and research in order to develop new knowledge that can be of benefit to national productivity and help enhancing international competitiveness of Thailand. Our school, the School of Allied Health Sciences, we try our best to respond to the university policy and missions by maintaining international collaboration as well as looking for a new international collaboration. CGU is one of the top private universities in Taoyuan city, Taiwan and in 2023, CGU is ranked #475 by the QS World Universities Rankings and is the top 5 university among the 151 universities in Taiwan.”
“We received a very warm welcome from CGU and everything was extremely well-organized during our study visit. The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between MT-SAH-WU and MBLS-CM-CGU was also signed. This study activity, led by Asst.Prof. Dr. Moragot Chatatikun, Head of this project, and the Asst. Dean for International Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Rachasak Boonhok, Asst. Dean for International Affairs, Asst.Prof.Dr. Suriyan Sukati, Program Director of Medical Technology International program, Prof.Dr. Hideyuki Majima, Visiting Professor, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Manus Kotpui, Deputy Dean, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Wiyada Kuanhien Klangbud, Head of Medical Technology Clinic, Asst.Prof.Dr. Nichapa Jandee, Head of Research Unit, Ms Sudawan Wanbayor and Ms Maneerat Srisuksai, supporting admin team from School of Allied Health Sciences. We took all of the 2nd year students from Medical Technology International Program and selected 2 students from the Medical Technology Regular Program, 36 students in total to join the study visit at CGU and Chang Gung University Memorial Hospital (CGMH).
“I’m excited and pleased to visit CGU and CGMH. I am really impressed with their hospitality and kindness as well as their research work related to Health Sciences. To CGMH, this place is listed in the top 3 largest hospital in the world, their team work and dedication to take care patients are great in particular the laboratory works responsible by the Medical Technologist. Academic collaboration established between the School of Allied Health Sciences, Walailak University (SAH-WU) and the College of Biomedical Science and Engineering, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (CBMSE-NYCU). The Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony (MOU) between SAH-WU and CBMSE-NYCU was held on June 9, 2023 at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Taipei city, Taiwan.
Assoc.Prof. Jitbanjong Tangpong, Dean School of Allied Health Sciences, said, “Our school, the School of Allied Health Sciences, we try our best to respond to the university policy and missions by maintaining international collaboration as well as looking for a new international collaboration. National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University is one of the top public universities in Hsinchu City, Taiwan and is ranked #202 by the QS World University Rankings in 2023. This was our great pleasure that NYCU accepted our study visit and agreed to have a MOU for academic cooperation in particular staff and student mobility for research and professional training”. Asst. Prof. Rachasak Boonhok, Asst. Dean for International Affairs, added “We received a very warm welcome from NYCU team led by Prof. Chun-Li Lin, Dean College of Biomedical Science and Engineering, Prof. Li-Wei Chou, Deputy Vice President for International Affairs, Prof. Jason C. “The NYCU study visit provided us the excellent knowledge and ideas on the discovery of medical innovations, development of medical devices, laboratory management, and the roles of Taiwan medical Technologists. We learned and shared information regarding the Medical Technologist’s role in Thailand. We are grateful to the all professors, staff, and students at NYCU for sharing information and hospitality. We had a great time there and do hope to welcome NYCU team at Walailak University soon.” Nattawut Lapjaratsangrot, the 2nd year MT international program student said.
