Walailak University, led by President Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, had the honor of welcoming Dr. Ludovic Andres, Attaché for Science and Higher Education at the French Embassy in Thailand, and Professor Arnaud Monteil from the University of Montpellier, France.
The visit aimed to explore new opportunities for academic and research collaboration between Walailak University and leading French institutions, as well as to further ongoing joint research projects in the field of biomedical science.
Currently, Professor Monteil is working with Associate Professor Dr. Warangkana Chunglok from the School of Allied Health Sciences on ion channel research. In addition, WU Ph.D. student Miss Nassareen Supaweera will soon begin a 9-month research stay at the Institute of Functional Genomics in Montpellier, funded by the Royal Golden Jubilee (RGJ) Scholarship.
