Walailak University’s School of Allied Health Sciences warmly welcomed esteemed international guests during a special session aimed at strengthening academic and research collaboration. The event was graced by Asst. President Suthasinee Sangkhum; Asst. Prof. Patnarin Supakorn, Director of the Center for International Affairs; Dean of the School of Allied Health Sciences, Voravuth Somsak; Vice Dean Asst. Prof. Orawan Sarakul; and Asst. Prof. Anoma Santiworakul, alongside faculty members from the School of Allied Health Sciences.
The honored guests included Asst. Prof. Hazel Anne Tabo from De La Salle University (DLSU), Philippines; Ms. Diana P. Mendonca from the University of Aveiro, Portugal; and Dr. Arutchelvan Rajamanikam and Dr. Kashini Jeya Pirathaba from the School of Medicine, University of Malaya, Malaysia.
Special thanks were extended to Prof. Veeranoot Nissapatorn for coordinating the visit and initiating discussions on short-term research training opportunities, particularly in Acanthamoeba and medicinal plant studies. This engagement opened doors to future collaborations, offering insights into research at the University of Malaya and De La Salle University.
The discussions were productive, sparking new ideas to advance human health and sciences and showcasing the graduate programs at the University of Malaya, which garnered interest from participants.
