Global Multiprofessional and Cultural Camp 2024 with Showa University Concludes: A Successful Week of Learning and Cultural Exchange
School of Allied Health Sciences Welcomes Staff and Students from Showa University
The Global Multiprofessional and Cultural Camp 2024, held from August 8-15 in collaboration with Showa University, has successfully concluded, leaving participants with invaluable experiences and memories. The week flew by as students from both Thailand and Japan engaged in a rich program designed to enhance their understanding of healthcare systems, community health, and the cultural nuances of each country.
Throughout the camp, students delved into various aspects of healthcare, with a particular focus on the care of the elderly—an increasingly important topic as both nations face the challenges of aging societies. The program also offered insights into the differences and similarities between Thai and Japanese healthcare systems, as well as community health practices, through activities such as home visits.

Beyond the academic focus, this year’s camp emphasized cultural exchange, with students exploring the unique food, traditions, and daily lives of people in Southern Thailand. These experiences not only broadened their cultural perspectives but also fostered deeper connections and friendships, aligning perfectly with the camp’s goal of supporting international collaboration.
