The School of Allied Health Sciences (SAH) at Walailak University, in collaboration with the School of Nursing (SON), is delighted to welcome staff and students from Showa University, Japan, for the 2024 Global Multi-Professional and Cultural Camp. The event, running from August 8 to 15, focuses on enhancing healthcare knowledge and fostering cultural exchange.

The opening ceremony, held today at the Chorpradu Chamber, WU Hospital, was presided over by Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of WU. Seven students from Showa University, led by Professor Dr. Yoshiko Kudo, joined the event alongside SAH and SON faculty members.
Professor Dr. Sombat warmly welcomed the participants, highlighting the camp's importance in promoting academic excellence and cultural understanding. Associate Professor Dr. Voravuth Somsak, Dean of SAH, noted that this is the second year of collaboration with Showa University, with a special focus on community healthcare for children and the elderly.

We’re excited about the opportunities this camp offers for both universities to strengthen ties through staff mobility, joint research, and student exchange programs. Welcome to Walailak University!
