During the program, the students received clinical laboratory training across major MT divisions at Walailak University Hospital, gaining knowledge and practical laboratory skills under the supervision of SAH faculty members and clinical instructors. They also completed additional clinical training at Bangkok Hospital Samui, Surat Thani Province, providing an opportunity to experience MT practice in a different healthcare setting.

On 25 August 2026, Sean and Kyan delivered their final presentations, sharing their clinical training experiences, cultural learning, and reflections on their stay in Thailand. Both students successfully completed their clinical evaluations, demonstrating strong professional knowledge, laboratory skills, adaptability, and independence throughout the program.

SAH sincerely appreciates Assoc. Prof. Voravuth Somsak, Dean of the School of Allied Health Sciences, and all SAH Medical Technology faculty members for their great support throughout the program. Our appreciation also goes to Walailak University Hospital, Bangkok Hospital Samui, the Center for International Affairs, SAH International Affairs team, clinical instructors, and Thai student buddies for their important contributions.

Special appreciation is extended to Prof. Jitbanjong Tangpong (Prof. Noi) for initiating the clinical placement program, Prof. Steve Schwarze, University of Kentucky, for his continued coordination, and Asst. Prof. Patnarin Supakorn, Director of the Center for International Affairs, for supporting the students’ on-campus accommodation.

This successful program further strengthens the academic collaboration and friendship between Walailak University and the University of Kentucky. We look forward to welcoming Kentucky MT students again in 2027.
