SAH Sandbox Module 2: Deep Dive into Strategic Research Proposals for Maximum Impact

The Research Center of the School of Allied Health Sciences, Walailak University, continues to sharpen research skills with the intensive SAH Sandbox Module 2: Planning. Held from April 1–3, 2026, at the Rachawadee Room, Academic Building 7, the workshop aimed to transform initial Concept Notes into high-quality Draft Proposals.

The event was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siwarit Pongsakornrungsilp, Vice President for Research and Innovation, who delivered the opening remarks. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Voravuth Somsak, Dean of the School of Allied Health Sciences, warmly welcomed the expert guest speakers and over 60 faculty participants.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chonthicha Romyasamit, Head of the Research Center and Project Leader, emphasized that the “SAH Sandbox The Series” aims to build a robust research ecosystem. Module 2 specifically focuses on strategic planning to ensure that research creates a tangible and impactful footprint.

Highlights from National Experts:

  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Peeradech Tongumpai: Shared techniques on proposal writing, designing Impact Pathways, and utilizing TRL & SRL tools. He also integrated Design Thinking to ensure research outcomes directly meet user needs.

  • Dr. Warach Madhyamapurush: Provided deep insights into Social Return on Investment (SROI) measurement through engaging case studies.

  • Dr. Puwamin Suriya-amphorn, Pharm.D.: Conducted a hands-on workshop on leveraging AI Technology to elevate and innovate research development.

The three-day workshop was filled with knowledge exchange and practical drafting sessions, ensuring all faculty members produced quality proposals ready for the next stage—Module 3: Finalization & Pitching.
