Gratitude for the Warm Welcome of Prof. Kokhi Okada and Strengthening International Collaboration
The School of Allied Health Sciences at Walailak University is deeply honored to have hosted Professor Kokhi Okada from Kyoto-Tachibana University, Japan, for a visit from August 8 to 11, 2024. This visit represents a significant milestone in our efforts to strengthen international collaboration, particularly in the field of Medical Technology.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all who contributed to making Professor Okada’s visit a success. Special appreciation goes to Prof. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, for his warm welcome remarks; Assoc. Prof. Voravuth Somsak, Dean of the School of Allied Health Sciences; Asst. Prof. Orawan Sarakul, Vice Dean of the School of Allied Health Sciences; Asst. Prof. Nurdina Charong, Head of the Medical Technology Department; Asst. Prof. Suriyan Sukati, Director of the Medical Technology International Program; Asst. Prof. Rachasak Boonhok, Assistant Dean for International Affairs, and all faculty members who engaged in fruitful discussions on academic collaboration with Professor Okada.
We also thank Assoc. Prof. Manit Nuinoon, Chair of the Medical Technology Program, and Asst. Prof. Malatee Tayeh, Head of the Medical Technology Clinic, for facilitating a smart classroom and laboratory tour, which highlighted our state-of-the-art facilities. We are particularly grateful to our representative Medical Technology students—Nattawut Thawornnurak, Veerapat Chunlaseneechon, and Kewarin Dokbualuang—who actively participated in the program. Their involvement provided a unique opportunity for our students to interact with a foreign professor, enhancing their communication skills and cultural understanding.
We sincerely hope that this visit will pave the way for further collaboration in student mobility, teaching, and research, especially in the field of Medical Technology. The engagement and support from everyone involved have set a strong foundation for a lasting partnership with Kyoto-Tachibana University, contributing to the global advancement of education and research.
