Walailak University Physical Therapy Program Sends Support to Athletes and Faculty Member at the Dubai 2025 Asian Youth Para Games

The Physical Therapy Program, School of Allied Health Sciences, Walailak University, extends its sincere support and encouragement to the athletes and Asst.Prof. Supattra Chaibal, a faculty member of the Physical Therapy Program, who has been appointed to serve as a Physical Therapist representing the Sports Association for the Disabled of Thailand under the Royal Patronage.

Asst. Prof. Supattra Chaibalan is participating in the Dubai 2025 Asian Youth Para Games, held from December 7–14, 2025, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

In addition, she has also taken part in the World Archery “National Classifier for Physical Impaired Athlete Course,” an international professional development program aimed at enhancing expertise in the classification of athletes with physical impairments in archery. This training contributes significantly to the advancement of professional standards in para-sports at both national and international levels.

The Physical Therapy Program expresses its pride in her professional contributions and wishes her every success in carrying out her duties during this prestigious international event.

PT Program Welcomes Students for the 2/2025 Orientation at Walailak University

On 12 November 2025, the Physical Therapy Program, School of Allied Health Sciences, Walailak University, organized the Orientation for Semester 2/2025 for first-, second-, and third-year Physical Therapy students at Room 7310, Academic Building 7.

The event was honored by Asst. Prof. Dr. Salila Cetthakrikul, Head of the Physical Therapy Program, who delivered the opening remarks and words of encouragement to the students. The orientation featured a series of informative sessions, including:

The orientation is held annually with the aim of preparing PT students across all years for academic success, personal development, and adaptation to continuously evolving learning environments. The program also supports students in confidently navigating university life, fostering well-being, and building readiness for their academic journey ahead.

GIZ Cambodia Executive Team visiting Walailak University: Learning and Sharing Experiences on Medical Technology and Doctor of Medicine programs.

School of Allied Health Sciences, Walailak University led by Assoc. Prof. Jitbanjong Tangpong, Dean of School of Allied Health Sciences, is pleased to welcome an executive team from the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) Cambodia study visit during 26June2022-1July2022 at Walailak University, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand. The purpose of the visit is to learn about the Medical Technology (Medical Lab Sciences) and Medical program which covers teaching and learning system, UKPSF, classroom management and assessment process, implementing professional practice of MT and MD, and quality improvement of the program. Our school is a co-host with the Center for International Affairs (CIA), Walailak University.

Regarding the GIZ Cambodia team, there are a representative from Health Science Institute of Royal Cambodia Arm Forces (HSI-RCAF), Khmer Soviet Friendship Hospital (KSFH). The team is led by Dr. HING Kong, Deputy Director, HSI-RCAF, Cambodia. During the 5 days visit, the agenda has been arranged to support our guests which included the study visit of the Medical Technology program from School of Allied Health Sciences, Medical program from School of Medicine, our school has also scheduled to visit a smart classroom and laboratory, join the teaching class, visit Walailak University hospital and Sichon hospital. We do hope that this study visit will provide a useful information and enhance the exchange of ideas and suggestions on the program in we can apply our knowledge to improve our program and help implementing the healthcare program in Cambodia.

SAH Research Unit of School of Allied Health Sciences organized an academic position activity.

          On 25 June 2020, SAH Research Unit of School of Allied Health Sciences organized an academic position activity. Asst. Prof. Dr. Sueptrakool Wisessombat welcomed the lecturers that Asst. Prof. Dr. Vorawut Somsak was the moderator of the event, which was divided into 2 main parts. First part, there was the exchange of criteria and documents related to the academic position application by Asst. Prof. Dr. Puangthip Bhoopong as a speaker. Second part, sharing of the experience of the academic position with the newly appointed Assistant Professors was honored by Asst. Prof. Dr. Praphatson Sengsoon, Asst. Prof. Dr. Jirarat Songsri Asst. Prof. Dr. Wannisa Kumban and Asst. Prof. Dr. Moragot Chatatikun. At the end of the activity, the partipants also listened video clips from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jitbanjong Tangpong, Dean of School of Allied Health Sciences, to know the guidelines and preparation of the School's activities which encourage lecturers to enter the academic path complied with the university's policy and to promote career advancement as well. In this regard, SAH Research Unit would like to thank you to the moderator, the speakers, the lecturers and all the staffs who participated in this event. Meeting room for this event was Banburee room, Academic Building 7 in which there were 44 lecturers.

Research Unit, School of Allied Health Sciences organized “How to conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis”

 

                 On June 22, 2020, Research Unit, School of Allied Health Sciences organized “How to conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis” which was honored by Associate Professor Dr. Manas Kotepui at Rachavadee conference room. For this activity, the speaker described the steps and methods to analyze data and create an article for systematic review and meta-analysis. There were 31 staffs and students participated in this lecture.
