School of Allied Health Sciences received the certificate 5S Model Award 2020 in the ceremony event of Thailand 5S Award 2020 from Technology Promotion Association (Thailand-Japan)

In the fiscal year 2020, School of Allied Health Sciences has been a representative of Walailak University in participation of 5s award contest, and has been considered from the committee of Technology Promotion Association (Thailand-Japan) to meet the criteria and received the certificate “5S Model Award 2020” In this occasion, Asst. Prof. Dr. Voravuth Somsak, Vice dean of School of Allied Health Sciences and Chair of WU-5s was a representative to participate the ceremony event at Grand Hall room, Bangkok International Trade and and Exhibition Centre: BITEC, on Thursday 18 March 2021. Inviting a physical therapist and interested person apply to participate in the 9th Annual Walailak Physical Therapy Symposium Project under the project name “Sport Rehabilitation in Lower Extremities”

Department of Physical Therapy, School of Allied Health Sciences, Walailak University inviting a physical therapist and interested person apply to participate in the 9th Annual Walailak Physical Therapy Symposium Project under the project name “Sport Rehabilitation in Lower Extremities”

With the aim of participating in the project:

1) To have knowledge of the disease or pathology of common injuries in athletes of the lower extremities in different sports.

2) To have knowledge and understanding of the principles of sports biomechanics.

3) To have knowledge of principles of nutrition in athletes.

4) To have knowledge of injury prevention guidelines in athletes and can be recommended to athletes.

5) To have knowledge and understanding of the development of thought processes and problem solving in clinical sports and the work of physical therapists during the Covid-19 epidemic.

  • The project will be held on May 31, 2021 from 8:30 AM to 4:15 PM. through the Webinar system  (ZOOM)
  • The registration fee is 1,200 baht.  Accept 115 people.

School of Allied Health Sciences and the center for academic services, Walailak University, organized a rehabilitation program for bedridden elderly in Walailak Pattana demonstration community.

On January 8 th 2020, Asst. Prof. Jiraphat Nawarat from physical therapy program, the working group of the center for academic services, and the social activities office of Betagro group visited the Walailak Pattana demonstration community for planning about the rehabilitation program for the bedridden elderly. The purpose of this work is to give the self-care knowledge for bedridden elderly and their caregivers. The project consists of main activities, such as surveying, evaluating, screening for problems of target groups (there are currently 10 bedridden patients), and the innovative design process for the rehabilitation program that corresponds to individual problems. This project implementation period started from January to August 2020.
